Matt founded Syndicate Tattoo in 2010 with a mission in mind: to create a tattoo shop that challenged stereotypes with a friendly environment. He loves learning new styles and techniques and would love the opportunity to bring your unique tattoo idea to life.
Matt and his wife have been married since 2003 and have 4 children. He enjoys playing guitar, creating digital art and painting with watercolor in his free time.
Matt is a jack-of-all-trades, but specializes in geometric designs, mandalas, florals, and coverups.
Tattooing since 2002
Jason began his tattooing career as an apprentice under Jon Handlon at Fine Line Tattoo in Topeka Kansas. Currently he works in a wide variety of styles including his favorites: Japanese influenced, American Traditional, Poly-tribal, and illustrated black and grey.
Outside of tattooing, Jason is married and a father of 2 kids. He enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and many outdoor activities with his family.
Tattooing since 2016
Joel began his professional art career in 2004, working as a commercial and studio artist in various mediums until he found his true love in tattooing. He primarily works in an illustrative style, with nature elements being his preferred subject matter.
In 2017 Joel and his partner, Kaila Mock founded the Emporia First Art Walk where they host a new art walk every month in Emporia, Kansas.
When not tattooing Joel likes to spend time in nature or painting nature in the studio.
Apprentice

Sam has worked at Syndicate since 2018 and recently started tattooing in 2022. As a local artist, she has a passion for all forms of art and in her free time enjoys painting, pottery, creating mixed media pieces, and sculpting playdoh with her daughter!
